Welcome New Members!

For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one Body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been made to drink into one Sprit. - 1 Corinthians 12

We pledge to watch over you, pray for you and will stir up the gifts in you to every good work; to bear your burdens, sorrows and joys, and help you become filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

This church was organized to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to lost humanity all over the world and to lead humankind to know Jesus as personal Savior.

Further, we will help develop and maintain character becoming to a Christian, to establish the way of life becoming to a Christian in all human affairs, and to exclusively carry out religious, educational and charitable purposes.

Every member is expected to attend worship, Bible study, participate in church business meetings and activities of the church, and to faithfully contribute time, talents and finances to this church. Other obligations of each member are to give love and comfort to every other member, keep the Church Covenant and tell others about Jesus Christ.

Privileges of being a church member include the opportunity to belong to a covenant group, to receive love and comfort, to grow to Christian maturity and receive training in Christian discipleship, and to serve others with the use of your talents, gifts, time and means. By doing these things, one can find fulfillment and meaning for life.

Again, we welcome you and trust your membership here will be a joyful experience.

For the Body is not one member but many. There shall be no schism in the Body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now we are the Body of Christ, and members in particular.
1 Corinthians 12:

The Deacons

The deacons are servants of the church. The deacon body serves under the leadership of the pastor and assist him in performing duties in order to free him for prayer and ministry of the Word. "Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom..." (Acts 6:3)

THE TRUSTEES

The trustees are kingdom builders and act as representative agents concerning business affairs of the church. Nurses Ministry/Health Ministry

The Nurses Ministry is to be faithful to the task given us by the Lord, to do for those who cannot do for themselves, to give of one's time and talent for the ause of Christ. Nurses reveal their God through serving God's people wherever and whenever needed. We help to bring health awareness to the congregation.

CULINARY MINISTRY

The Culinary Ministry consists of volunteers and has its purpose feeding God's people. This ministry is called into action for church-sanctioned fellowship dinners. The duties of the Culinary Ministry include: preparing menus for the fellowship dinners, serving the food and cleaning the kitchen.

BUS MINISTRY

The Bible says, "Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 14:23). The P.C.M.B.C. Bus Ministry realize that some people (especially children) are unable to attend church on their own. We have made a way for people to come to church. There is never a charge. The church absorbs all the expenses of this ministry.

JAIL MINISTRY

When you think about it, a jail and prison ministry is like most mission fields. It is difficult, challenging work, yet completely rewarding.  Yet, the outcome of what our ministers do shall be fully rewarded by Christ himself. The Good News Ministers of Peoples Community see inmates become brothers and sisters in Christ, just as missionaries in Africa, Asia, or a hundred other countries see people come to know the Savior

AUDIO/VISUAL MINISTRY

Helping Eyes to See and Ears to Hear... The Audio/Visual Ministry uses many aspects of sound and video technology to convey God's message to the church. Imagine a weekend service with no microphones, no speakers, no video cameras, and no video screens. Imagine our worship time with no amplified voices or instruments leading the choir. You have just imagined a weekend at Peoples Community with no Audio/Visual Ministry.

Audio/Visual is a behind-the-scenes type of ministry. It is easy to forget that it even exists, but if its volunteers all stayed home, even for one weekend, church-goers would instantly understand what a vital part the Audio/Visual Ministry has in making a worship service possible.

CD's are available immediately after each service.

Ministries

Of all the spiritual disciplines identified in Scripture, the discipline of service is mentioned more often than all others. Believers are encouraged to serve one another and all humankind to the glory of God.

There are many ministries to serve in and that are active and thriving at Peoples Community Baptist Church.

We encourage every member to become an active participant in one of these ministries.
